Being a gay man myself, I was thrilled to see Tim Cook take the reins after Steve Jobs passed. In the first few years, he indisputably turned the company into a serious global player. His prowess at logistics enabled Apple to pump its margins to insane levels, while creating some of the top performing chips under the Apple name. Despite the App Store fees, the gains he achieved in the services sector are monumental. Unfortunately, his time in the sun has passed. Apple's laggard position in AI (so far) is inexcusable. Their lack of hit product development and more importantly acquisitions is non-existent. Where is the push into robotics? Home automation? Where are the initiatives into areas we haven't even thought of yet? No, it's way past time for Mr. Cook to pass the baton. His pretty great legacy thus far is getting tarnished by the day.
